Tomaru shakes his head slightly, waves a hand.

"Oh, no," he says. "My daughter, Anzai, is the poet of the family."

Tomaru shakes his head.

"I don't expect to do much," he says. "I might offer one poem, enough to be sociable. But I am not often moved to eloquence, truly."

He takes a sip of his tea.

Tomaru nods.

"There had been some discussion about next year, prior to, well, events," he says. "Whether matters will remain as they had been intended isn't clear."

Tomaru gives a small shrug to Jihen and finds himself drawn along by the young Agasha.

"Indeed, the young Dragon, here," and he gestures to her, "has been quite the active member of Court. But then, so have Yasuki-san and Kitsu-san. It will be good to see all of them return in coming years."

"We did speak briefly," Tomaru replies, "but I am always glad of good company."

"I've heard it said teaching is the profession from which all others flow," Tomaru replies. "It isn't the least pleasant thought."

He gets a bit more food in him.

"So, any thoughts for what you will present at the Banquet?"

"Just so," Tomaru says. "Yasuki-san has the right of it."
