One last time of scenes question!
There is the EN option 1 and option 2. Clearly you pick one.
There is also an EN open RP that appears (as I read it) to be the same event ... just have some free RP at the same party. "The Right Hand's Reception"
But I don't want to break the rules and be 2 places at once.
Is EN open RP scene something you can do in addition to option 1 or option 2?
(No rush to answer - I am away from keyboard most of day - but I thought I'd ask while I had a window so I'd know when I got back.)
I'm not a GM, but based on prior experience, I can answer this-
The Open RP is an exception. It's to let characters mingle at the party, while not cluttering the threads where GMs have rolls to keep track of.

Just want to confirm since I have Imperial Scribe, if the artisan tag is not explicitly listed, the Imperial Scribe bonus would not apply unless they were a shugenja.

No, it reads as its original TN for the purposes of the results. The action is the same, though the TN is not.
In the same note, and just to confirm - if you call Raises to a TN 25 roll, I assume it still counts as a TN 25 roll? So that the only way to get 2 TN 30 rolls is to choose 2 of the rolls originally labelled as TN 30?
(For reference: Perform: Dance/Agi in step 1, Sleight of Hand/Agi or Courtier/Awa in step 2, Meditation/Awa in step 3).
Is that correct?

Just want to check as it didn't click before now, do any of the rolls count as contested in the Lion event? I don't think the first question would, but the second/third and the call to attention (Four Feudatories) feel more contested

Shiba-san is correct.
As a rule, if there's a "roleplay" thread, it's as an administrative convenience so that the GMs can view rolls more easily.

Were it not Lion (or maybe Crab), yes, but since it
is Lion...this is just business as usual. Not contested.

A TN 20 Sleight-of-Hand/Agility check to safely manipulate the parts of the machine, which are sharp and devilishly intricate.
Is there an honor loss as for "Using a Low Skill" for attempting this?

You can certainly buy tea from the teahouse, and it's a great place to get PCs to perform the tea ceremony for you, but the proprieters don't perform ceremonies for customers anymore. Not since the war.

Which write-ups do you mean?
I ask not to be glib, but to get clarity so as to give you a good answer.

Yeah, anything in the setting almanac is pretty common knowledge, unless its indicated not to be so.

Just properly setting up a schedule and looking at things now, and searching the board I couldn't find an easy answer (please forgive me if I've overlooked it somewhere!)
With 12 time slots, I'm assuming we're supposed to sleep for 4 of them (barring Touch of/ Cursed by Yume-do)? So with the party at the EN, most people won't be up until the Late morning on Day 2?
Trying to get a sleep schedule planned
Thanks!

Sleep for three, unless you've got something affecting that.
But some will doubtlessly sleep in, yes.

Oh, that's good! More realistic too, who gets 8 hours of sleep in this economy? XD
Just to make sure then: 3 slots for the normies like Masaki, and I suppose 4 with Cursed by Yume-do and 2 with Touched by Yume-do?
Not even sure that matters to anyone, but.... idk, call me a completionist XD
Thanks again!

Residence question--is there enough space/screen dividers in the delegation houses to assume each of the delegates has a space functioning as their own 'room,' or is it more dormitory-like? Or does that depend on the clan?

They're all the same. The Lion are scrupulously fair.
The number of dividers I think is listed in each description. On the other hand, I didn't actually plan out a delegation house myself, if you get me, and I'm not going to slap you on the wrist for setting things up the way you like. Just remember things are spartan except what you and your daimyo (mostly the Crane and Phoenix) brought with them.
