The question was asked on Discord if rerolls / new characters will be allowed if your PC is eliminated.

The answer is that you will be allowed to select another named delegate from your Clan. There will be some preexisting definition, and your friendly GMs will get you set up right with it.

What would the GMs judge the cost to be for:
- various types of tea
- a collection of pressed and dried flowers (sadly can't get fresh flowers in winter!)
- embroidery kit

To make things easy, lets say a bu for a basic version of each (a brick of drinkable but unexceptional tea, a spray of pressed local-to-you flowers, a basic embroidery kit), with fancier / more exotic stuff being commensurately higher.

Along those lines, may we assume appropriate gifts for court and meetings are provided by the clan (within reason!).

i.e. meeting with other clan delegates the first time might warrant regional foodstuffs, while meeting a clan champion might have something more specific chosen by the clan (not least because handing, say, a Kaiu blade to a clan champion your clan deeply desires as an ally is less unbalancing than handing same to a PC you're negotiating with.)

Or...better to ask in PF first for any such gifts?

I'd say that standard gifts are provided (although giving blades has...implications...that make them less likely to be sent along). If you have any special requests, put 'em in the PF.

You are responsible for describing your gift (there's an event), but it does not need to come out of your actual cash dollars. Just describe something nice that makes sense for your character.

No, no one should give her the sacred armor of their grandfather or a nuclear reactor. Keep it sane, keep it nice, keep it something you can reasonably afford to give away, and consider carefully if your character would be able to give something of similar value if they were asked to attend winter court again.

Along with the information for clarity theme:

A number of the new houses don't follow the <house name> of the <family> structure that the pregens ran with. So there's a number of houses of uncertain clan/family allegiance filtering in that only have House name. I imagine they're linked up in the main table of contents, but I suspect most of us are seeing them as they're posted by going "ooo, new post!" vs. looking at the ToC.

This is less of a question than a technical FYI, but this seemed like an appropriate spot to flag it—

I believe the pre-written “new day” posts in Weather will not show up as unread/new posts to any users who registered after the date when the post was created (ie all the PC accounts). I didn’t realize there was a weather post for day one until I saw the notice the game had started, because it was already marked as read for me!
