If you rebuffed Inspector Kaneshiro in Event II, you are instead met by a squad of Thunder Guards in full armor led by a dashing bushi of early middle age.. He introduces himself as Taisa Shosuro Hiro and informs you that he and his men will be escorting you to meet with the governor, who wishes to place as many Scorpion clan resources as you need to facilitate the Empress’ wishes. You may attempt to refuse this and abscond using a Social or Low skill roll appropriate to the situation. The TN to do this is 30. Shosuro Hino has heard it all before.

I can do 9k5 on Etiquette, 10k6 with void. I think this is a decent chance, but Honoka wrote earlier in the thread that she has a good shot at this roll too, so I’ll wait til she chimes in before doing anything.

I can go as high as 10k7 for pretty much any social roll but I'd rather hold void so I'd be rolling either 8k5 or 10k6. For a tn30 I can spend a lil honour for comfort

OK, that sounds like your 10k6 would be best at this roll if you want to try it?

We've now moved onto the Ronin finding part of the mission but we have a tail. We need 4 successes to pass, so we can do one each! The rolls are simple enough:

• 1) One person needs to pass either a Lore: Scorpion/Int, Lore: Politics/Int (these are TN20) or Investigation(Notice)/Perception at TN25 to let all of us know.
  - If tail is noticed, during finding info you'll need to do Stealth/Agility, Acting/Awareness (I assume as Disguise is not a skill) or Athletics/Agility at TN25 or the tail also gets the information
• 2) Any skill roll that would be good for finding someone (suggestions would be courtier for getting information or investigation, or hunting to track, but any other suggestions welcome). The TN for this is 20

On the first part, my best roll is 4k2/5k3 with void vs TN25 so not a great. I'm rather hoping our emerald magistrate has a good investigation roll

For finding someone, apart from those mentioned, I think Underworld might be a good suggestion if it's something folks want to try?

So after asking the GMs, we each get 1 roll per timeslot, so 3 total per player.

Since it doesn't look like we block each other by making these rolls, I'll go ahead and make one for the first timeslot.

Ryoichi is 4k3 at Athletics, does not have Disguise or Stealth - I'm sure someone has to be better at evading the spy.
