It would be helpful to have a bit of guidance for all of us on what it means if you fail to meet the 'speak at all' threshold.
Can you RP it as losing your nerve and just not stepping forward at all?
Is it writing out something and adding a trip or stammer or other suggestion why it wasn't particularly compelling?

I would say this:
How you choose to roleplay a failed roll is for you to decide. I like what Hikaru chose to do with his failed roll: he got the message out, but his state of dress and the fact that he just wiped up tea made it less than acceptable for the court.
However, supporters from other directions helped to make up for that.
Sayomi has played it as getting embarrassed and delivering a statement that wasn't taken seriously. Masumi lost heart and withdrew. All of these are perfectly valid.

I think others can pull it back from the brink. People should cultivate support for motions, particularly if they feel that they may not be able to make their rolls.Doji Shinnosuke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 4:55 amDoes it need a successful Introduce Position roll to be supported by other people, or can folks theoretically use their own court actions to prop up a position that was intro'd with a failed roll?
