Is the Past Life Picnic eligible? I'll work it up for Court D10, if so.
And may as well pre-emptively ask regarding the Go tournament.

As both were events recognized by the court, yes, they are eligible.

So....when sakkaku thinks it's funny to have us fail incredibly easy rolls to influence sumai, can we spend a further time slot to try approaching them again?

Oh, yeah. It's a 5 day event for a reason. Any timeslots you choose to dedicate are rollable, even with sumai you may have oopsed with in the past.

Re: Questions for the GMs
Is it correct for Floating Banquet that each person can just do all their rolls in a batch and do 1 big post with however many rounds they continued? And confirmation if they are sober or drunk for remainder of evening?
That seems easier than trying to get everyone to post a round 1, then everyone a round 2, etc.
But please confirm! I want to do it correctly.

I'm okay with that, so long as you record your rolls correctly, both in Sakkaku and in your PF.Agasha Yuna wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 7:08 pmIs it correct for Floating Banquet that each person can just do all their rolls in a batch and do 1 big post with however many rounds they continued? How are the conditions for using bow and arrow are in the combat event?

Re: Questions for the GMs
I'm an idiot and missed that Voice applied to the poetry event rolls (was thinking composition rather than recitation, I guess!).
I passed the rolls I made so far, but had I realized I had an extra die I probably would've done Raises differently (or spent Void differently).
Should I
a) just leave it, you dummy, you already rolled!, or
b) reroll with the correct dice

You can get LOS on the action at 60'. It is dark, but the moon is still fairly strong, so we're going to say no penalties on that front.Daidoji Ryu wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 9:01 pmHow are the conditions for using bow and arrow are in the combat event?

Does one weapon mean Jinkan will need to take time to pick up his katana and wakizashi for dual wielding?

Re: Questions for the GMs
You mean you don't sleep with your wakizashi on? What kind of samurai...
But more seriously, if Ryu can pick up his bow and quiver, then you can pick up your katana and wakizashi. The two things are associated. Also possible: knives.

Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't take a round to grab them, and have Tatsuya die while Jinkan was tying his saya.

Re: Questions for the GMs
So if you fail a roll on somebody, you can try again--got it!
Once you do succeed with them once, are they as persuaded by you as they can get? I've been assuming from the feel of the text that double-tapping successes wouldn't work, but I guess I should actually ask.

Re: Questions for the GMs
Nope, folks can keep going at it. The idea is that they're getting bombarded on all sides by these suggestions and influence attempts, so you'll want to reinforce any ideas they've planted as others make inroads with their rolls.

Re: Questions for the GMs
Two part question for the Floating Banquet event:
1) Would Perform/Poetry also apply to the second part?
2) if not, would the effects of the Doji Warrior poet Technique apply? I have the text below for reference
1) Would Perform/Poetry also apply to the second part?
2) if not, would the effects of the Doji Warrior poet Technique apply? I have the text below for reference
Technique: Fan & Sword - A warrior-poet understands that focus is the one and only key to not only victory, but enlightenment as well. When you spend a Void Point to augment an Iaijutsu Skill Roll or a Perform: Poetry Skill Roll, you gain a bonus of +2k1 instead of +1k1. Additionally, whenever you are victorious in a duel or a poetry contest, you gain one additional point of Glory. If you were championing someone else, that person also gains one additional point of Glory. This is in addition to any normal amount being rewarded.

Noticing the lack of a sign-up limit on the combat, would it be easier on GMs if a PC is offered ghosting rights?

Re: Questions for the GMs
Yes. I think players should understand that by "aggressive ghosting," I mean that you will be acting on your initiative when it comes up. If you are online, I will give you 20 minutes to get in there. If not, you're being ghosted. That's just how that event has got to be in order to get it done.
Accordingly, please be sure to give accurate ghosting instructions, updating them if you feel they need to be as the situation develops.
They will be heeded. That much I promise to you.
