The restriction is that you may only do one of the listed things per thread (that is, a scene or timeslot).

Oh great! That's how I was doing it. I was thinking it was a change in how to report it.

Would asking the court who sent Jinkan a severed tongue be Advance Position or Make an Offering?

For the Garden of Earthly Delights:

Would casting Benten's Touch to improve how presentable we look be seen as acceptable, since this is also an event on 'artful demonstrations'?

Thanks!

Was there a glory payout for the Past Lives Court dealie? It's not in the thread.
You're ahead of me (but who isn't with my posting schedule.)

From previous events:
Your current glory 'rank' -1 in glory 'points' to participants.
Then after that you gain glory equal to the number of participants (including yourself) - 1.
So .3 to participants as Hoshiko is Glory 4.

11 participants (if Shintaro the NPC counts.) would offer 1 rank of Glory to Hoshiko

[pending GM confirmation. I'll send PMs to participants so they don't need to hunt for it]
Hauling this back up for confirmation of my math and to see if Shintaro counts as a participant.

I think we told the last folks not to count the NPCs. Your math is otherwise correct.

No more than 1 each of Meditation / Tea Ceremony rolls per player per day. (Yes, if you want to spend your day attending everybody's Tea Ceremonies, you can, but you're not going to do much else.)
Just to clarify, this is only 1 tea ceremony or 1 meditation per day, or only 1 tea ceremony and 1 meditation per day?

I just noted there's one thing here I'm not quite sure of.

In answers to previous questions, the GMs had established that 'hunting' for rumours (with Investigation/Awa) always needed a timeslot just for that (which I assumed to mean a 'dedicated' timeslot, i.e. it couldn't be done along with events, sumo influencing, meditation/tea Ceremony, threads involving NPCs and the like).

'Spreading' rumours on the other hand, had previously been said to take place at 'some administratively convenient other-time. If it gets excessive, you might be asked to start setting aside a slot to address it. Same with game of letters.'

For reasons of when particular effects are still active, I'd assumed this 'other time' could be more or less 'part of' other timeslots, like just before or after the action in a thread, or between threads.

Does the change in ruling mean that 'spreading' rumours now will also always need its own timeslot, or does it only mean that it can *still* happen in such 'other time' located in or between other threads, just *not* within the same timeslot used to influence sumotori, do a tea ceremony or meditate?

Similarly, does the same apply to game of letters rolls now?

Thanks!

For now, spreading rumors and game of letters remain administratively convenient.

For the Art event, failing step 3 'Profit' means...? Since the event outcomes mostly seem to assume a patron, ending up with points in those ranges but failing 3 means--drop the patron bit off the reward? Fail overall because nice art, but nobody's watching?

Missed the Benten's Touch ruling above or I might not even be asking because that last roll only failed by 1. XD

Yes, you'd still get the glory because you produced the artwork, but not the rewards associated with patronage.
