Letters

A young servant of Kyuden Ikoma delivers a letter in the early morning to the Crab House, insisting on giving it to Yasuki Ryoichi. The paper seems formal at first, but upon touch is revealed to be far more delicate than expected. Once unfolded, a pressed and dried azalea flower could be found, resting on top of meticulous brushstrokes in blue ink.

"The clear and bright eyes
sees all that crosses their path -
But as flowers bloom
so does her steadfast soul,
resilient as the pine."
