[D12, LA, EVENT] The Bowman's Wager, D2: POWER!
Posted: Thu Nov 07, 2024 1:05 am
The pitch has been cleaned and restored over the course of the day, but the targets have been replaced with a series of straw figures in real armor. There is a peasant warrior, a ji-samurai, a foreigner in its distinctive all-metal breastplate, and what seemed to be an elite samurai (going by the hat) clad in heavy armor.
All is in readiness for the competitors to take up their positions, and the crowd waits with bated breath for the first arrow to be loosed!

Event Mechanics wrote:This stage will test the might of the competitors. They will fire 5 arrows at stationary targets, but each target is protected by a different form of armor. The competitors will need to punch through that armor’s reduction to have their points count! [No, armor-piercing arrows are not permitted].
Each Target is set at the same distance from the archers, but they are protected by the suits of armor strapped across them. The deciding factor will be which armor you punch through.
The Ashigaru target (tn 18, reduction 1): 1 Archery pt.
The Lightly Armored target (tn 20, reduction 3): 3 Archery pts.
The Gaijin target (tn 23, reduction 4): 4 pts.
The Heavily Armored target (tn 25, reduction 5): 5 pts.
Each increment of 5 on the damage roll after reduction is applied will earn a competitor an additional Archery point.
The top 4 Archery Point Totals will advance to Stage 3. Should two players tie for fourth place, the winner will be determined by the number of Raises called successfully. If that should still result in a tie, the higher Influence rank will proceed.
