Another sip of tea.
"There is only becoming", she says nodding again. "And the Path not Taken."
Or 'opportunity cost', she thought as she held back a grin. But she felt economic jargon would be less appropriate than philosophy here
The smile is purer and wider now. "It would stand to reason that you would be wise as well as many other things, ne?" Another nod. "The way to do is to be", she says, slowly, thoughtfully. "I hope to learn to be as well as you, Seppun-dono. And..." the smile widens again, although there is again a slightly bashful tone to her expression. "I suppose I'll reassess my own thoughts on marriage considering my own becoming."
A nod-bow, her smile warmer. "Oh... and of course, I thank you again kindly for making this choice today. I would not be bold as to presume to be considered a friend, given the great difference in our positions... but I'm happy to share a moment of relaxed friendship with you, at least."
