[D4, LM] Tea and quiet conversation (Expecting)

[Agasha Yuna]

Yuna arranged to meet with Hiruma-san at the tea house in the morning, before court.

She was fully dressed for court. Expecting a rather ordinary day at court without any starting revelations.

She was not entirely sure what kind of tea the Crab tended to favor. She decided to take a seat and wait for Hiruma-san and order once he'd arrived.

[Hiruma Daichi]

The letter from the Agasha was a bit unexpected, but Daichi had dressed for court and made his way into the city to meet her. He wasn't sure how much help he might be with her questions about the earthquake. He did intend to do what he could to answer them though.

Arriving at the teahouse he asked a servant to take him to Agasha Yuna and moments later arrived before the Dragon. "Agasha-san." He greeted her with a polite bow. "My apologies if I kept you waiting."

[Agasha Yuna]

"It's good to see you again, Hiruma-san." She said with a seated bow.

"I wasn't sure if you had a favorite tea. Or if there was a kind particularly favored in Crab lands. Of course, we could always try a local favorite or a simple green."

"I understand you were part of the earthquake investigation. I'm hoping to get some further details for a letter to my family. Did you, or other Crab, learn more about its cause?"

[Hiruma Daichi]

"Good to see you too, Agasha-san." Daichi replied as he took a seat at the table across from her. "As far as tea I'd go with a local favorite. I may not find myself in Lion lands for years, if I even return at all. So trying something new will serve as a bit of a treat."

"As to your question." He shook his head. "It wasn't so much of an investigation we did out there as a rescue mission. A lot of buried workers in those collapsed tunnels. We saved those we could, but with that much earth moving. Well, if you know of mines you know what happens."

"So, haven't learned much of what caused it. Though I did talk to a monk Jihen after, and he said there was an imbalance in recent times that might have brought on Kyufoki-kami's anger. AS he found nothing that would have caused such a thing at the mine."

[Agasha Yuna]

She asked the attendant to bring them a local favorite for their tea.

She nodded. "My family has a gold mine, yes. And many earth shugenja researchers experimenting. Though a focus of their research is how to please the earth kami, it is an imperfect process. I am familiar with how devastating it can be."

"I'm glad many workers were saved."

"It is generally either a disruption and imbalance upsetting the local earth kami, or a matter upsetting the fortune Kyufoki, the Fortune of Earthquakes."

"I have read that Kyufoki is associated with Osano-Wo, Fortune of Fire and Thunder, who is the child of Hida, so I thought perhaps your family had particular insight into soothing Kyufoki-o-kami, if that is the issue."

"I wish I had access to my family's library here, for all they have learned over the centuries. But I can write."

[Hiruma Daichi]

"My own family has an Iron mine." Daichi explained. "Though we use much more mundane ways to assure the safety of out miners."

"So when it comes to matters involving the Kami, it might be you find more of the information you wish from a chat with Kuni Shiori." He paused.

"Before proceeding to far in this matter I'd suggest consulting with the Ikoma though. They may want to take care of this themselves after all."

[Agasha Yuna]

"I'll check with Kuni-san. I haven't met her yet. I look forward to the chance."

"And... yes, I won't do anything without Ikoma-sama's support."

She took a sip of tea.

"Have you had a chance to talk to the Crab about a possible deal between us? You got my note, right? Four tea. Any sake you can spare with it. Our five jade."

[Hiruma Daichi]

"If you want to visit the Crab house sometime, I can introduce you." Daichi suggested. "It may be a chance to meet my cat too if that's still of interest."

"I have, and the results are looking promising. Those numbers aren't objectional to my people and I need to now take it to Kaiu-dono to get his thoughts on the matter." He took a sip of tea his smile turning wry.

"We may have to look a bit more deeply into the marriage though, I had forgotten something that might cause some trouble with the one we had first discussed. I'm sure we can work out something though, with a little bit of effort."

[Agasha Yuna]

"Of course I would enjoy visiting Crab house and meeting your cat! And Kuni-san. Just let me know a good time for you both, and I'll stop by."

(By the time they put their schedules together and made it through the somber events of the Empress' funeral, the best option was on D7 or beyond. On D7, she was free in the morning or in the middle or later evening.)

"There are plenty of options for the marriage. Just let me know what will work best as your plans evolve."

[Hiruma Daichi]

"I'll get word to you about that as soon as I can."

((ME would likely work best for me I'll ask Shiori about availability though.))

"I will, my first thoughts were that if things did not work out for the first woman I suggested, I have a cousin that could marry out and become a bride for your bushi."

[Agasha Yuna]

"Any cousin of yours would be most welcome. You represent your family well."

[Hiruma Daichi]

"Your words are too kind Agasha-san." Daichi replied with a polite dip of his head.

"I'll get back to you in the next few days with the results of my talks and then we can proceed forward."

[Agasha Yuna]

She bowed to him. "Fortunes watch over you, Hiruma-san."

[Hiruma Daichi]

"You too Agasha-san." He replied as he returned the bow. Hopefully Shiori would be able to better answer some of her questions.
