[D12, MA] Needle In A Haystack? (open)

by Kitsu Sayomi
With the news of Tatsuya's son having departed Kyuden Ikoma delivered at court, Sayomi thought it might still be possible for the young man to be in the area. It would be risky business to take to the roads this season, especially with no travel papers to show for... and desperate people might try themselves at a man traveling alone.

But for now, she would start here. Maybe someone had seen the ronin in the time leading up to his disappearance. Maybe he hadn't even left willingly? For all they knew, maybe he was kidnapped?

All these questions and more swirled in her head as she began to ask around Ikoma's Eye if anyone had seen Ryunosuke.

"Don't know nobody by that name, Kitsu-sama, but I saw someone looks like what you said heading out middle of the night last night. He was all packed to travel and all, too. Headed south, he was."

"Was he traveling or alone, or was someone with him?" she asked.

"Nobody with him, Kitsu-san, but you ain't the first followin' him, neither. Some old guy with a beard and a stick's ahead of you."

"Beard and stick..."

It did sound like a monk she had met. And there was talk of a monk being murdered...

"An old man, most likely a monk?" she asked, trying to paint a clearer picture. Bokushi had been part of the mission to find his father, so it could've been him.

"Dunno, Kitsu-sama. Just saw him; didn't talk to him. Don't know if he was all confusing-like."

"Alright. I understand."

She nodded. "Thank you, your time and insight is appreciated."

(and if it was a non-samurai she spoke with, she'd drop a couple of zeni for them as a show of thanks)

"Thankee, Kitsu-sama."

The coins vanish quickly.
