"I haven't always liked your little jokes, Hajime-san."

[Kakita Hajime]

Hajime grinned. "You haven't cut me down, yet."

[Matsu Tsuruyo]

Tsuruyo returned it. "The Emerald Armor turns aside more swords than any other in its class."

She sighed.

"You've got your day. But I want someone's head tomorrow morning, and I don't want you getting between me and the culprit. When the time comes, you're going to remember that I did you this favor."

[Kakita Hajime]

Hajime bowed his head. "I have never forgotten any of your favors, Tsuruyo-san. I won't get in your way."

[Matsu Tsuruyo]

"Hmph."

Tsuruyo bowed and turned on her heel to stalk back to the castle.

[Kakita Hajime]

Hajime returned the bow and stepped back to watch her depart. It wasn't until she had safely left his sight that he turned back to the task at hand.

"Well, yoriki," he shouted to summon his underlings, "fetch my magistrates! Let's get this solved."
