At the far end of the courtyard, there had been constructed a temporary shrine to Musubi-no-Kami.

Participants in the festival can visit all three spaces (open RP, shrine, and art/perform area). You do not have to choose.

Here at the temporary shrine, you can say a prayer to Musubi-no-Kami. Those already married can ask for blessing for their marriage. Those engaged to be married can ask for blessing for their marriage. You could also ask for blessing for a friend or family member.

When they got a moment, Ryusei awaited Yuna by the shrine.

And did his best to control his good mood.

Yuna came to stand by Shiba-san.

"Are you ready to pray together? Do you remember the day we prayed at all those shrines together? That made me so happy."

"That was the first time. And every chance I get, I intend to see to it there's another."

He wanted to offer his hand.

But of course that wouldn't do.

So he settled for a bow.

"I can think of nothing more fitting."

She knelt beside him in front of the altar.

"Bless our union, Musubi-no-Kami," she prayed out loud. "Help our marriage bring you glory, as an example of all that is possible when a marriage is harmonious and loving. Help me be the wife that he and his lands need. Help us to be dutiful and wise, together. May our lives and marriage flourish like trees that you planted and nourished and will nourish every day of our lives, growing towards each other and towards Heaven, both."

"Musubi-no-Kami, bless us. Let our union embody the virtues you oversee. May I be the husband she deserves, and may we always recognize that we are greater together than alone. May we be two halves of a greater whole. And may we always remember what we owe you."

Sanjuro arrived some time later as Yuna and her betrothed were leaving. He bows to them both and permits himself a smile. They remind him of when he and Shihobu were preparing for marriage.

He prayed aloud to Musubi-no-kami, "Thank you for your blessings upon Shihobu and me, and on Yuna and Ryusei. May they know all that you aspire for them and know the happiness a husband and wife give to each other from the happiness they carry inside."
