"I've only barely spoken to her, and entirely within the context of the art event earlier. But I think keeping as many in the loop as possible makes sense." She thinks a moment. "The Phoenix are...remarkably light on shugenja." She shakes her head. "Well, passing information to the Seppun is a priority, contacting the Yogo... I think we're doing as much as we can with this not-entirely-defined threat."

"I'm glad to have consulted you, even if not reassured," she said with a wry smile that says, she really hadn't expected reassurance on such a topic. "When next we meet, we really do need to discuss books instead." Which might be a doomed hope this winter unless things were mended very quickly.

She nodded at that. "If you've encountered this yourself, I'm sure that others around the courts might have found some oddities. It would be very serendipitous if all happen to have some parts on how to stop this thread and we merely need to pool our knowledge together. In lieu of that, it would be most helpful to have several people looking into it, even if in the same place. Another idea or provide perspective."

"Or perhaps consider doing some book shopping during daylight hours, that could be fun too," she tittered with a faint smile on that pleasant thought. "It would be nice to have a few other escapes to juggle in my mind this winter."

Hoshiko nods vigorously. "I have to agree. The more minds engaged, the more likely that we may find something of use. Nobody wants to spend the rest of the winter wondering what the creature will do. So far...nothing. But we can't count on it staying so benign, I think."

"I did spot several booksellers," she grins. "It would make a nice outing while the weather is still so fine." Hoshiko stands and bows. "I appreciate you seeing me tonight to discuss all of this, and wish us the luck of resolving it swiftly and spending the rest of the winter finding new things to read instead."

"The amount of blatant omens that seem to plague this kyuden seem to make this less of a passing haunting and something more threatening on the surface, I'm afraid. Maybe this spirit has just planned its visit badly but I'm sure that our hosts would feel more at ease with it seen too. I will bring this up with Kitsu Shintaro and see what I can do to help."

She nodded soundly as they brought the meeting to an end, standing up and bowing back in return. "Thank you for bringing this to my attention, actually. A pleasure of sorts, ominous signs notwithstanding. It's likely we'll have to stay away from ghost stories and the like when we get around to that. There are many other pleasant realms we can still visit, right? But we can discuss that another time. Have a good night, Asahina-san."
