[Kitsu Sayomi]

"I will bring it to my Lady Akodo for approval. And we will seek the advice of the Matchmaker for some guidance on marriages that would be auspicious to both our clans," she said with a certain nod.

Sayomi sipped her tea lightly. "I think it will be a good future with the Crab and Lion standing strong together. It might give the stability the Empire needs as we await an Heir to be chosen."

[Hiruma Daichi]

"I agree, while they may not last long fortunes willing, we do live in a rather uncertain time. A show of unity and strength is certainly what the people need." Earthquakes, a sick Empress, no heir in place. It certainly felt like they were living on the edge of a cliff with a miner below.

"Which is why I'll bring it before Lord Kaiu as soon as I am able." He paused and took a sip of tea. "Do let me know when you go to meet the matchmaker. I or another one of my clanmates will attend as well."

"Of course. I will send word once I have arranged a meeting with her," she affirmed with a nod. "Speaking of unity though, one of your kinswoman proposed the art show for a display of unity in diversity in the Empire. Are you going to participate?"

[Hiruma Daichi]

"Good." He said with a nod, before placing his teacup onto the table. "I was, alongside some of my clanmates." Daichi offered in explanation. "There was some talk about what we would all do, and it's gone in the direction of a group project."

His lips curled into a smirk. "It will be a bit peculiar to see something I've made displayed outside of my home, or on the side of the road for any passing traveler to pick up. But I will get used to it."

"Did you plan to Kitsu-san?"

A nod. "Yes. I intend to participate. I was thinking of some origami or poetry... or maybe both? It will be a challenge to decide on what to do in the end."

Quite the conundrum!

"What would be your art of choice?"

[Hiruma Daichi]

"Wood carving." Daichi replied. "Though I admit it's more than a hobby than anything else. I picked it up to pass the time when I'm not busy with other things."

"Seems you have a multitude of talents though." He offered with a small smile. "Both a poet and calligrapher, two talents that complement each other quite well."
