"I think many here are operating on the faith that we will." Daichi replied. "I'm hoping this project with the Manor may help garuntee our soldiers are properly feed if we do not."

[Kaiu Masahiko]

"Wise. I can't believe that Lord Hida will let this mess go on for long, but the going could get pretty rough in the between-time. A greater northerly presence can only help us put the Empire right, even if most of the work will be done by sea and in points further north. Can't bank on everything being successful all at once."

[Hiruma Daichi]

Daichi nodded. "I suppose some of what the others do if they aren't picked will have an effect too." Unless you simply just killed off all the other contenders, which was possible, but he hoped unlikely. He didn't really want to see how things would go if that happened and something unfortunate happened to the new Emperor.

"I suppose that just makes it more important to have one or more of them at Kyuden Hida though."

[Kaiu Masahiko]

"Hai, certainly. The safety of the new Emperor will be paramount. And if we can save the others, I think we should. Lord Hida will have to evaluate the sincerity of their commitment to peace, though."

[Hiruma Daichi]

"Truly." Daichi agreed with a nod. There was one in particular he didn't think could exactly be trusted there, but then he didn't think she would come to Kyuden Hida at all either.

"But I shouldn't call on your time any more then is needed Kaiu-dono. Thank you again for seeing me."
