(D3 LM) Love and Death are Complicated (expecting)

[Jihen]

Having completed the ritual and feeling a noticeable change in the area around the temporary shrine, Jihen bowed to the hosting Crane.

“May the fortunes of Romantic Love and Death both bless your efforts this winter.” He dips his head low.

“If there are any other needs you may have in our shared time here, please do not hesitate to ask. It has been my sincere honor to have helped with this endeavor. Thank you for allowing me to share with you in the process of honoring the fortunes.”

[Daidoji Ryu]

Hopefully in that order. Ryu very much did not say.

"Thank you for your assistance, honored monk." He said instead, bowing.

[Daidoji Sae]

"I will second that. I believe we have done something worthy today, may its memory be a light in any dark times to come."

Sae bows respectfully as well, rather pleased at how it had all turned out.

[Asahina Hoshiko]

(retroactive bit)

"And the one to Emma-O should go here, Hoshiko-san."

Although she could reach that one, perhaps it would be better for a priestess to place it. One with normal eyes.

"Yes, that should leave more than enough room for the scrolls to be seen and admired."

Hoshiko nods and carefully places the fragile artwork in place. The artisan's eye is unsurprisingly fine and the result is marvelously balanced; the two disparate shrines sharing space and looking as if they are meant to go together. They manage to feel larger than the enclosed and relatively small space allows.

(warping to the present)

She watches respectfully as the consecration is completed, with a small, surprised start as she feels that sense of the other realm that always resides with her grown stronger. It's not hard to guess what the less familiar feeling is.

"In the midst of so many troubled portents, it's an excellent omen of what focused care and devotion can bring forth." She offers a heartfelt bow to Jihen and Minase. "Thank you both for providing space to properly house divinity where mortals might come near to it."

To Jihen she adds, "any material offerings will be tendered back to the temples, of course." The main offerings of interest there would likely be coins. Nobody was gathering up the incense ashes to hand off.

[Jihen]

Jihen bowed deeply to the Asahina at her praise and offer of donations.

“You are most kind Asahina-sama. The events of the morning will undoubtedly create great need among the people of the surrounding environs. We would be honored to help assist them with any oblations that the deities do not deem to necessary to engender their blessings to continue throughout the winter.”

[Asahina Minase]

The artisan is used to the emotions and feelings created by herself and others of her school, but this is different. A sense of calmness and rightness in what they had done settle upon her. She remains silent but does offer a polite and perhaps deeper than would be expected bow to the monk for his work.

[Jihen]

Making another deep bow to those present... Jihen would quietly and humbly turn to leave the Crane with their newly consecrated shrines.
