Minehime nodded slowly. "Right...well, that shouldn't be a problem. We can just have them forwarded along to join the heads. How does that sound?"

[Bayushi Kaguya]

"Unnecessary. But I will do it in the hope that this matter is behind us." She folded her arms and sighed.

[Daidoji Ryu]

It would be a little while later when Ryu returned, with all hearts in bags disposed of, and goodbyes had been exchanged between champions while Ryu respectfully looked on.

Once the Scorpion was gone, Ryu bowed to his champion. Did she have an opinion to be shared? Did she want his? He waited respectfully to see.

[Doji Minehime]

Minehime smiled down at him. "Expect a repeat performance on another Wind by the second week of court."

[Daidoji Ryu]

Ryu's lips compressed. "Indeed." He said, a touch glumly. "Well. While we are unlikely to be a target again, I shall still remain watchful. Just in case."

He looked towards the door, where the Scorpion champion had gone through. "Is there anything else you wish from me? Regarding this, or other matters? This may be as resolved for us as it can be. Not what I hoped, but at least we did not blunder into a trap."

[Doji Minehime]

"It was a close-run thing, I think. We are fortunate that Bayushi-san has recognized her internal threat and is eager to conceal it from us." She smiled. "It is, at times, a blessing to be thought of as a jumped-up sword-swinging adventurer entirely out of her league, but it is crushing to actually be one."

[Daidoji Ryu]

"Hmmm." Ryu said. "I only hope she has identified and eliminated it correctly. We have no way to verify, unfortunately."

The second part, though, actually brought a smile to Ryu's lips. "Just so." He said, dryly. Fortunately, the Crane champion was very not out of her element. Ryu looked at Minehime a moment before his gaze shifted respectfully away. "Thank you again for the honor, Doji-sama. If you require nothing else, I shall return to my other duties."

[Doji Minehime]

"Oh, I think we can be confident that whoever has donated their hearts and heads to satisfy our request and your cousin's maneuver had nothing whatever to do with that break-in. If there is a true comeuppance, it will not be in service to any request of ours or of the Lion's. The Scorpion like to pretend that they have no pride, but they are just as precious as the rest of us."

She gave a nod to signal that she acknowledged his intention to depart. "Carry the Fortunes, Miyahara-san."
