Lady Akodo and Lord Kitsu sat together at table, breakfast being served. Somewhere in the distance, Lady Matsu could be heard shouting through her drills. It was the perfect time for a Lion meeting!

Rini was like every Lion by the stereotype. Always early to meet the day. There was already much to discuss. The young priestess made her way to the courtyard of their accommodations for Winter Court. Already having beseeched the Kami for morning prayers.

Her eyes took in the sights, as her fingers held her Satchel bag, which also held the copy of the information that needed to be brought to the daimyo.

It was Shintaro, perhaps predictably, who responded first.

"What do you have there, Rini-san? Is it a bit of scholarship? I have been positively starved for something new! Bring it here, bring it here!"

Sanae put her fork down and shot Shintaro a piece of side-eye, but directed her attention at Rini nonetheless.

"Good morning, Kitsu-san. I hope Lady Sun finds you well."

Rini bowed deeply to the Champion, and then to the other Daimyo. The practiced student was formal in the way she moved, "Good Morning to you as well, Lady Akodo. Lord Kitsu. Lady Sun shines brightly on us all." Bowing again to the head of her family, bringing forth the papers from her Satchel.

"It was determined that I should bring to your attention these proposals between ourselves and the Crane." Her voice was steady, and to full business, though she maintained a pleasant, if distant demeanor.

Shintaro immediately lost interest. A treaty. Hmph.

But Sanae gives Rini her full attention.

"The Crane. Interesting that it comes on the heels of yesterday's fiasco."

"Perhaps a way to save face, or simply show that they do have good intentions and full faith in negotiations, despite any setbacks?" It was odd for the young Kitsu to let her thoughts be spoken out loud, much less in the presence of all the daimyo, but Rini found it could not be helped. She would set the treaty out for the daimyo to review, at their convenience, of course.

"In either case, the contents deserve merit and so feel as though we come out in good standing? From my observation, anyway. At least worth bringing up for discussion."

Crane deal wrote: Crane sell: 5 iron, 6 tea
Lion sell: 3 copper, 7 rice + Lion art service + marriage (Lion into Crane) and agree to a peaceful rapprochement.
"Hmm...rice to the Crane. They must be looking to corner the market. Clever, Minehime. Clever, clever. But we do need the Iron, and we won't be needing to trade with them for more rice. I think this will do."
