Upon a low table in what was technically Shingo's room but was, at least currently, open to the rest of the guest house, the shugenja was setting up an oversized scroll and his calligraphy set. He was wearing a simple orange kimono that was such a muted color it could almost blend into the woodwork of the house. Upon closer inspection, one could see a small pile of small parchment sheets sitting on the floor beside the table. These looked rather well worn, especially compared to the pristine paper on the table.

The shugenja works away for a good while, transcribing his quick notes into a highly artistic calligraphy piece.
