Looking For Approval (D12 LM Expecting)

Kiuchi waited for his Champion to allow him in so he could give present his treaty to her.

[Bayushi Kaguya]

The door slid open to reveal Bayushi Kaguya leaning back in her chair, idly twiddling her fingers. "Yogo-san," she intoned, not quite looking at him. "What brings you to my study?"

[Yogo Kiuchi]

Kiuchi low bows to his Champion. "Bayushi-dono. I have two reports for you. One of my discussions with the Badger. One concerning this spirit that has appeared."

[Bayushi Kaguya]

"A spirit?" Bayushi Kaguya's full attention is on Kiuchi, now. The dead eyes stare emptily from beneath the mask. "Do tell."

[Yogo Kiuchi]

Kiuchi was hoping to address the treaty first since that was the simpler matter. But if the Champion commands it. "The other night, Asahina Hoshiko. There appears to be a gaki here. One that claims, and the elemental kami seem to believe, to be Hantei Ningi. There are currently plans to possibly bind it until it can be helped. One of the things mentioned to aid in such binding is an ancestral sword." He then proceeds to give a summary of the Thread that has yet to finish.

[Bayushi Kaguya]

"Right. So, they want to borrow Itsuwari to bind the ghost of an Emperor? Does Seppun Sadako know about this?"

[Yogo Kiuchi]

"Borrow? No. I wouldn't dare to presume. I am merely informing you in case that is the path taken. We will need the aid of a Champion in that case. I dare not presume your mind in such things." Kaguya scares Kiuchi. The last thing he wants is her to think is he is trying to take her sword away from her. So, he moves on. "Asahina Hoshiko mentioned Seppun Sadako knowing of the investigation only wanting it to be kept small."

[Bayushi Kaguya]

"Well, if the others are asking their Champions to...I presume, stand ready with their swords...then small it will not be. Still, putting down a lying spirit is most likely the thing to do, and I am feeling my skills rusting with every second I spend here, so I will assist."

[Yogo Kiuchi]

"I will inform the others, Bayushi-dono. Is there anything else you wish to know before discussing the deal with the Badger?"

[Bayushi Kaguya]

"No, let's turn to that."

[Yogo Kiuchi]

"After a couple of discussions, with Ichiro Himari, we've hammered out the following arrangements. The badger will find a suitable candidate to marry Yogo Yoshie and join the Scorpion Clan." Kiuchi figures there won't be much argument since Yogo marrying out is extremely rare. "To celebrate this union, we will gift the Badger 2 units of rice and send them aid of scholar," Kiuchi believed that was the euphemism they were going with, "and the Badger will gift us with 3 units of copper and 2 units of iron."

Kiuchi almost forgot, "Also each Clan shall train two members of the other's students."
