Another day, another visit to the Minor Clans. Kenji didn't mind, it was lower stakes than dealing with the Great Clans but all deals were important at the end of the day.

Announcing himself he waited for a response, enjoying the cool morning air. Who knew what the day would bring?

[Gusai Rioshida]

Gusai Rioshida opened his door and waved the Lion in. He looked like he hadn't had a particularly good night, but he was happy to brush some debris aside to allow Kenji a place to sit.

"Akodo-san. Nice to see you again."

[Akodo Kenji]

Kenji bowed and entered the room. "And you Gusai-sama, I hope you have been finding success in your endeavours to support your people?"

Politely ignoring the disarray he took the offered seat. "I spoke to Akodo-dono about your situation."

[Gusai Rioshida]

"Yeah? How's it lookin'?"

[Akodo Kenji]

"Well, as I noted, our rice surplus is gone. However, after discussions with Akodo-dono I am pleased to say that we are prepared to share our pottery technique with you. You will no longer need to worry about your rice stores after this Gusai-sama." There was some genuine warmth in the Akodo's face.

[Gusai Rioshida]

"Well, that is welcome news, I must say."

[Akodo Kenji]

Kenji nodded. "In return we will need the 2 units of gold. The school exchange we discussed previously seems appropriate, and shipping deals for Lion goods on Mantis vessels?" It was in the Lion's favour, bit the Mantis were going to benefit immensely with their future rice needs mitigated.

"We also have 2 units of some weapons technology that we do not particularly need. Perhaps you would be interested in making use of these in exchange for some of those maps and naval supplies?" Until they had some sailors trained up the naval supplies could at least help with anti-river pirate patrols.

[Gusai Rioshida]

"I can give you 2 naval supplies to take those off your hands. Plus a map. A good map."

[Akodo Kenji]

Kenji nodded as he thought it over. "Then I believe we have ourselves a trade deal Gusai-sama. I will write it up and present it in court when the opportunity presents itself." He smiled. "And on a personal note I am very much looking forward to hearing about the exploits of the first Lion to go to sea!"

[Gusai Rioshida]

"Hai, it will be a tale as songs are made of!" He hesitated, pondering that for a second. "Looking forward to getting 'er through the courts."
