Her eyebrows rose. "Uh, I'm pretty sure I don't need that talk..." Sayomi had read all the books!

"Unless that means you're looking for potential marriage candidates for the Fox? The Lion have some eligible samurai for marriage."

"Got a couple as could use some marital bliss," Aiko says, nodding. "One who's highly placed, 'nother who's lookin' f'r a place."

"How highly placed we talkin'?" she asked, with a raised eyebrow.

"We're talkin' [Status 6]," Aiko replies. "An' of an artistic bent, too. Kitsune-ke no kashin Kondo Yoshimasa. Comin' up on thirty, so housebroke, too."

She grins.

"Men sometimes take a bit t' get t' that point."

Sayomi chuckled. "Is that so? Speaking from experience then?"

Aiko laughs.

"I'm happily hitched f'r a reason, Kitsu-san," she says amid it.

"Hmmm... most of the women in our roster eligible ladies are rather young though." And a man pushing thirty might not be a good fit for that. "What about the other candidate you have on your list?"

"Got a young woman, Kitsune-ke no kashin Reizei Ikuko," Aiko responds. "Trained in our libraries, which ain't s' big as th' one here, o' course, but there'd be some commonalities. Ain't done much yet, on account of bein' s' young, but might could do more, with th' right encouragement."

"Hmmm... she might sound like a good match for our delegate Akodo Kenji," he seemed like the type that might appreciate a wife with a similar interest, and he was young too.

"I would have to check in with my superiors though, and Akodo Kenji-sama as well. He's an Imperial Scribe, of nineteen winters. You might've seen him here already, yeah?"

"Seen 'im, yeah," Aiko replies, nodding. "Ain't talked with 'im, s' far's I recollect. Might be good t' do that, though."

[Kitsu Sayomi]

"I'll mention this possible match to him, and maybe the two of you could have a chat or something, check out to see if he'd be a suitable match for your historian."

Sayomi sipped her tea and smiled. "Anyway, I shouldn't take up too much of your time. Please think about what we have discussed and the future possibilities of us working together."
