Nebula’s Portents (D9 EM)

Waking up early in the morning Jihen decided to pursue his lingering questions from the previous night’s divinations. What could this new sixth star possibly mean? Were there other references to this in the past, or perhaps any kind of similar instances that could be of use?

He poured over the various manuscripts he could find… hoping for wisdom in the past that he could use to ignite inspiration within himself in the present.

In looking for information about a sixth star, cross references lead to numerology. Numerology is always a fraught issue, of course, with four being unlucky but also harmonious, five being elemental but also unstable, and the like. Six, although there are cardinal implications, is heavily linked to the Lost Son, who was sixth of the children of Sun and Moon, as well as to his unsavory influence, which the few available records that treat of it describe as "like a sixth element."

Again, it is fraught, and opinion is not uniform on specifics, but it does generally agree that the number is reflective of problems to come.
