Yuna had a bit of time in the middle evening after the discourse on laws to stop by the library.
It was interesting that so much of that conversation had been about nearness of blood, and she'd earlier gotten a note with a similar question but regarding an unexpected person. Not one of the winds. But unmarried. Perhaps that was why?
She set to work. Lineage records were easy enough to find. Unless they'd been pulled by other researchers and were unavailable for that reason. Or otherwise set beyond the reach of the casual researcher. She was frankly pretty exhausted from all that had gone on earlier. Not at her best. But worth a try.
Research question: The lineage of Seppun Sadako-ue - how close she is to the throne?
Happily, she found the needed records!

Lineage and genealogy are things the Ikoma do very well, and indeed, the full lineage of Seppun Sadako is available.
Unfortunately, while Seppun Sadako is a direct descendant of the original Lady Seppun, her only blood connections to the Hantei come from the reign of Hantei Genji (that is, a full generation before Keihime). It would seem Hantei children occasionally join the Seppun, but marry other Seppun or have children, so as not to confuse the succession (much like what is happening now).
