Schedules, Schedules. (Day 10 Mid Afternoon)

[Hiruma Daichi]

Daichi arrived at the Imperial apartments in the hours after Court he had an appointment with Miya Hachi to attend to if the man was available. Which he assumed he was if the note he had in his hand was in fact from Miya Hachi. Something he had no doubt of.

Arriving at the Imperial apartments he showed the letter to the Miharu and waited patiently for them to see him to the Lord of the Miya.

After checking his papers and having the Hiruma check his swords--there is a very nice rack for them to rest upon, and there is a Miharu tasked with watching them--the Seppun escort Daichi to Miya Hachi's suite.

The Lord Herald is reviewing paperwork when Daichi arrives.

"Hiruma-gunso," he says in acknowledgment, raising a hand and then using it to gesture to a seat. "Come in. Sit. Will you have tea?"

He sets the paperwork aside as Daichi enters.

"That would be quite pleasant Miya-dono." Daichi replied after he offered the man a deep bow in greeting. Moving forward he took the offered seat. "Thank you for seeing me on such short notice."

[Miya Hachi]

The Lord Herald gestures, and a servant pours tea for both.

"Now, what was this 'other matter' you wished to discuss?" he asks, sitting back slightly and taking up his tea.

[Hiruma Daichi]

"Well, the basis of it is fairly simple." He begun. "I was speaking with Soshi Eiji-san about of some of the particulars of the problems that can occur on the River of Gold piracy and the like, and while our clans do well to handle the matter we can in our clans' territories, sometimes matters are out of our hands."

"Not to say that these matters are not being handled outside of our territories. Only that it is difficult to due to the current state of things. There is after all nowhere in the region for the Emerald Magistrates to rally their forces and address any such problems that occur there which creates difficulties logistically speaking. So, we were pondering the creation of a Manor for such a purpose, near the fork in the River of Gold that leads to the lake of Cherry blossom snow. A place where magistrates could come to rest, to gather supplies needed to better complete their duty. It could also serve perhaps serve as a waystation for the Miya. Giving better access to the Northern lands of the Crab, as well as those of the Boar."

"I came to ask what you thought about such a thing, and if it would be something worth pursuing or an idea best laid to the side as foolishness." He finished before dipping his head in deference to the Head of the Miya.

[Miya Hachi]

"That is..." Hachi begins, and his eyes look up, as if he is searching for something in a memory palace.

"...actually not a bad idea," he continues. "I imagine that the smaller villages nearby--Kudo and Koeru--will be glad of the increased security presence, as well."

[Hiruma Daichi]

Daichi dipped his head in thanks. "They may benefit further in the future as well, if we were in time to add major roadways to and from this Manor. Though that's of course thoughts for a far-off future."

"That said I appreciate you sharing your time with me to consider the matter."

[Miya Hachi]

"Of course," Hachi says, nodding approval.

[Hiruma Daichi]

With that Daichi would offer the man a bow before taking his leave.

Miya Hachi was a busy man after all.

[Miya Hachi]

"One more thing, Hiruma-gunso," Hachi says. "Do visit the Nakodo. We all have our duties."

"I will Miya-dono." Daichi replied with a deep bow towards the other man before making his
