Court today has regained a bit of its vitality, though the vacuum that seems to draw all eyes to the void where the throne should be remains as strong as ever. The usual suspects are in attendance, though Kamoshita Hanjiro of the Ikoma seems to have foregone attendance this morning.

A small island seems to have formed around Tatsuya, who seems nervous. There is no sign of Ryunosuke.

[Hiruma Daichi]

The punishments that came down upon the Lion were in line with what Daichi had expected. Though, he hadn't expected the involvement of the Karo, that had certainly been disappointing to hear of. The Ikoma would be missing two important men soon, but at least with this they could hopefully atone for their mistakes.

The fact that Ryunosuke had fled during the night was a disappointment. He'd been a bit unsure if Tatsuya had what it took to be an Emperor, but now the Gunso was certain he did not. Which left only two options in his mind, it was just a matter of picking between the two.

[Shiba Ryusei]

Poor Ikoma-ue. This has been one hell of a winter for him- his karo implicated? Yeesh.

[Agasha Yuna]

Yuna was present, today in a darker green kimono, with a pattern of brown, gold, and burgundy peonies.

She listened to the news about the investigation with a somber expression. It was good that the matter was resolved. But poor Ikoma-ue. His karo! It was a role she had just begin training for, back in Izaku lands. Awful. She just couldn't imagine a karo doing such a thing.

[Kitsu Sayomi]

The shame had already been cast on Lord Ikoma's close confidantes, and she had been unable to stop it. Sayomi felt a pang of shame as she listened to the announcements, and some pity for Tatsuya whose son had run away it seemed.

Maybe he had only left the castle and not the surrounding area yet. Might be worth checking out later.

[Asahina Hoshiko]

Hoshiko is in attendance, thinking a fair bit about events of recent days.

(since her player might actually be able to follow court on the weekend!)

[Soshi Eiji]

Having gone straight from the petitioner lineup as soon as he heard the announcement, Eiji had had to be patient as the court recognized a treaty before his story. But that was the discretion of the one running the court. It didn't matter who was ready first, they set the schedule of who could speak first.

Still, it was comforting to have his words echoed today by those he considered...well if not friends, good company. The Crab's suggestion struck him as an odd one though. While it was Lion being punished, it was for Imperial crimes. True, the Emerald Champion had the authority to declare any punishment he saw fit, but assignment to the Deathseekrers was an odd choice. Especially from a non-Lion. Still, at least the court agreed the need for severe punishment and the news of increased security was truly welcome.

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

A Dragon in black with scars and a scarf holding his hair up in a ponytail approached the Soshi from the side.

"Soshi-san, it is pleasant to see you again. I require a few moments if possible?"

[Ikoma Honoka]

Honoka had been listening to court with a neutral expression. There was the briefest smile when she was acknowledged though

Like many days , Shiba Ryushi lurks the gallery listening to the offerings and the different proposals.
