The Crisp Evening Breeze (Day 2 Early Evening)

[Hiruma Daichi]

They see me strollin, through the gardin's

What was that even about? Daichi wasn't entirely sure. Maybe some sort of encouragement? He stifled a sigh as he made his way through the forecourt gardens and pushed the thoughts from him mind. The sun had set not too long ago, but already the heat brought by its rays were missed. It wasn't cold per say but just chill enough to make him wish that he had dressed a bit warmer.

He wasn't going to cut his walk short though; it was a pleasant way to settle his mind after a busy day. Which is something he needed after court and an afternoon worth of kemari. Especially if there was any sort of party, he had to attend this evening.

At least it was mildly catchy.

[Kitsu Rini]

The Lion Priestess found herself exploring the gardens. Her hands tucked into the sleeves of her kimono, hiding away from the crisp winter air. Her green eyes weren't really focused on anything, rather existing in the moment of time.

While she knew she was more than qualified to attend a proper, capital W Winter Court, the young lady still felt a bit overwhelmed at the spectacle of it all. No where near as austere as she expected, the constant hubbub keeljng all the delegates busy. Her mind wandered with thoughts of things needed doing, and she thoughtfully chewed on her lip, trying to make sense of it all.

In that lack of paying attention, in not having focus at the time, she ended up almost walking into another pedestrian. "Oh, I'm so sorry," she uttered, surprise crawling across her face as she looked to the man. "My head was in the clouds.'

[Hiruma Daichi]

"Ah." Daichi had made a quick stop, rocking back on his heel as he did so to preserve his balance. "Don't mind it." He replied dismissively. "If your head was in the clouds, my eyes weren't on where I was going." The young crab continued as he took a step back to provide a bit more space.

I want to stroll with the Crane girls, but they always thinkin my On is Flirtay.

Now that had nothing to do with the Lady Lion in front of him at all. "So, it's as much my fault as yours." He took a slow breath to calm himself, he was awfully distracted tonight. "I suppose such a sudden encounter deserves an equally as sudden introduction though." He dipped into a polite bow. "I'm Hiruma-ke no Kashin Tetsumura Daichi."

[Kitsu Rini]

"A pleasure." Her bow in greeting was respectful, well mannered and practiced. Repeated drills of how to behave at Court honed by talent and training. "I am Kitsu-ke no Kashin Tatsukawa Rini." She would offer a polite smile, looking about the gardens. "Since we're both distracted, maybe we should walk together, for a time, lest there be further bumping into anyone."

That smile met her eyes as she laughed a little at her own joke, then focused again on Daichi. "How are you finding the Ikoma lands, Hiruma-san? I imagine quite different from back home?"

"Two sets of eyes are better than one." He agreed with a soft chuckle. "At the very least it helps prevent us from forming any bad habits on a garden stroll." He wasn't sure if running into people counted as a bad habit, but it was close enough.

At the question he nodded. "They've been quite welcoming thus far. The weather is fair given the time of year, and the accommodations quite welcoming." Which was certainly a change of pace from a lot of his days. " I admit having only just begun to have a look around the area though, and there is quite a lot yet to see."

"Well there's plenty of time to take as much in, when we aren't all busy with Court or our duties. I wish that you get the opportunity to see all you like," Her gaze remained on the Hiruma, as they began to walk. "I know I have a lot to see here. My cousin has spent a good amount of time here, but I've only recently arrived for this. It's a lot." Finally looking to the garden away from him.

"I hope that I'll be given time to view the Ikoma histories first hand. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't really thought of delving deep into the libraries and just losing myself there." Her fingers graced her satchel out of habit, a move that seemed so commonplace and without thought as she spoke.

"Hopefully so." He agreed with a nod. "It's not often I get to travel from the Lands of my clan, and it seems like it would be a shame to miss anything when given the opportunity." It was too bad that she wasn't from the area, asking for her to show him around could have made for a good opportunity for another meeting.

"I've heard stories of the Ikoma Libraries and how impressive they are, though I admit my own interest would be more for viewing then study." He finished with a soft chuckle. "Is there anything in particular on which you focus your study though? Or do you find pleasure in all subjects?"

The question made the personality bubble forth, breaking a bit of her On a bit, smiling widely and beaming at the question. "Oh, it's everything Hiruma-san. I love it all, want to study everything, to learn as much of everything as possible." Collecting herself, she covered her mouth with the back of her hand, though her lips were still pulled at the edges of a smile. "It's the act of learning that I love. I could dive into it all, and never come up for air." She looked up to his features, studying him closely.

"Well, what would you wish to view there? I mean, there's a bit of everything, so I'm curious what would drae your attention, hmm?"

[Hiruma Daichi]

She was an attractive woman, especially when she smiled, Daichi couldn't deny that. "Myself." He shook his head. "In comparison to yours my tastes are likely rather dull."

"I'd probably look a bit to the different military manuals you had, then perhaps touch some on history." Gosh what else would he read? "Honestly I may be a bit lost given all the choices I'd have in front of me. So, it could be I just picked something out at random."
