Being so close to an abundant source of fresh water, the onsen of Kyuden Ikoma can afford two large sex-segregated pools plus a large number of smaller pools. There are both hot and cool baths. The Baths are heated by servants working perpetually to keep fires tended.

An important note: The Baths are very, very much a public space. They are nearly always host to people, and if your intention is to have a hot bath even in the middle of the night, a group of servants will have to be present to keep the heat running.
