[Soshi Eiji]

Kenchi pondered.

"There are a few avenues on that front....actually."

His folded fan propped in his chin, Kenichi's eyes glazed over in thought.

"We could bless your crops to oroduce more next season if that helps. If you are actually lookong to know the current state of excess rice...I guess the libraries might be of help?"

Eiji considered the words.

"Those are possibilities, Asako-san, I'll add those to my notes of things to consult the delegation about." he agreed.

He looked up as the horn blew seeming to signal end of court for the day. At least, that's how Eiji would choose to remember and never speak of it.

He smiled a bit.

"I feel this has been a very useful conversation, Asako-san. I'll consult with the delegation on the points we discussed and see what progress we can make. Was there anything else you'd like me to look into?" he asked, feeling he hadn't quite plumbed the depths of what the Phoenix were looking for.

"I think those are the highlights, Soshi-san. Some support, some intrigue....perhaps a marriage to seal a deal. We do have some candidates, some quite prestigious."

Eiji nodded.

"We do as well. Among them a talented shugenja, an emerald magistrate and someone VERY prestigious. " he said teasing out just a little bit more information. "Should our interests align well, and we could make a good match out of them, I think we might well seal the deal with a wedding."

"Oh, such a tease Soshi-san."

He smirked. "We might align then. I shall have to discuss with my brethren, but perhaps it is time for siblings to rekindle their relationships, eh?"

He waved his fan lazily as he spoke.

"Indeed, Asako-san, I feel this conversaton has been most informative. Pleasant as well, a good way to spend the second day in court." he offered.

He glanced over the winding down proceedings.
