[Mirumoto Jinkan]

Jinkan is definitely there in brown on green layers with little triangles representing mountains dotting his person. He looks hungover, given the paleness of his face and general dryness.

He would make a face at the display from the court protagonists of the day. Rolling his eyes was included.

That was one way to show you were scared. Or maybe the Otomo was just having fun. She seemed like the sort. Speaking of fun...

The Mirumoto made his way to the abbot who had NOT been involved in sabotage a few minutes earlier.

"Greetings, they call me Mirumoto Jinkan and I am a cool person." He bowed, "Are monks allowed to get into brawls with other monks or is that against their vows?"

(Seeking Do.)

[Abbot Do]

The abbot returns the bow.

"Do," he says.

"Depends on the Order and the vows," he adds. "I doubt the Dragon are strangers to that, with the ise zumi and all."

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"So you and that other guy could go for a few rounds outside if the opportunity arose?" Jinkan asked putting a hand on his chin to stroke a beard that wasn't there. He still went at it like it flowed luxuriously down to his sash.

[Abbot Do]

"I don't see that happening," Do replies. "Although it's been said that it does not take two to make war."

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"So you are more of a guy to talk things out then pound them down?" The Mirumoto said with skepticism written on his face.

"You got biceps as thick as any Togashi, is all I am saying." Jinkan said laughing. "But that is a lie, I am saying other things too. Like right now I am saying it is nice to meet you and I am curious what you make of the play we watched these last ten minutes?"

[Abbot Do]

Do snorts a laugh.

"I'm sure there's some crop that will grow well in a field this heavily manured," he says.

The comment about violence, he does not address.

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"I expect that whatever grows in this wouldn't be fit for consumption." The Dragon said cutting off his laugh.

"So where are you from Do-sama? And why are you here over being there?"

[Abbot Do]

"I'm from the Order of Osano-Wo, Mirumoto-san," Do says, "and I'm here because somebody has to be on hand to set things straight some others try to make crooked."

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"One does? Ah, then maybe we can see about making that happen. Does Do-sama have any kinks in particular he is thinking of when he speaks?" Jinkan's face turned to naked curiosity as he newly looked over the huge monk. If he was in fact looking to do some good in the world, the Mirumoto was interested in hearing about it.

[Abbot Do]

Do fixes Jinkan with a look.

"You sure you're not a Togashi?" he asks.

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"Never found myself climbing the steps to the High House. I have a terrible sense of direction." Jinkan said with a smile that drew shadows across his face.

"Though I did meet a few of them, I was never in their number. No tattoos either, needles are not good for my skin." The Mirumoto continued conversationally, "but I was hoping you might finish telling me about things that should be straight."

[Abbot Do]

"Some people's backs, at the moment," Do says, motioning with his chin towards the scrubbing Cranes and the skittering Seppun. "How many of them should be bending to that wind, really?

"And maybe a snake or four could get straightened out, too."

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"The forest bends to the wind but doesn't break, or something like that. I think the Tao has something about being a mountain or being bamboo? Can't recall." Jinkan scratched his imaginary beard again with thoughtfulness.

"No matter how much the wind howls, the mountain cannot bow to it?" He said after a second. "Is that what you have in mind?"

[Abbot Do]

"You sound positively imperial," Do observes, dryly. "Maybe you should--by the way, where is the Throne? Even empty, it should stand there."

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"Oh shit." Jinkan said looking at the place it had stood yesterday. "Is this a statement from the Otomo?"

He looked over the Otomo group with now narrowed eyes, twisting his imaginary beard in-between his fingers.

[Abbot Do]

Do snorts another laugh.

"Could be," he says. "Could be from the Seppun, too. Nobody can plant themselves in it if it's not there, right?"

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"Or the Miya to remind everyone that if they can't play nice, someone will take away their toys?" Jinkan had turned away from his scan of the Otomo to chuckle to himself.

"So, I think there is an opportunity for Do-sama to get the world a little straighter. You remember the donations I applied the court for, to be passed to the Brotherhood? Maybe we should make sure the goodwill doesn't end up split between four temples and nowhere else." Jinkan said seeing if the abbot caught his drift.

[Abbot Do]

Do nods.

"Lead the way," he says.

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"Gonna have to make a stop to pop and lock it." Jinkan said nonsensically.

He headed for someone he knew would be willing to support him in hostile waters.

[Abbot Do]

"...okay?"

Do shakes his head.

"Kids."
