(D7, Court) Am I Boaring you?

Talk of war drew the former Ikoma's eyes to the floor. It wasn't unusual on the surface. The Lion's beliefs on War were perfectly reasonable and it was always court that tried to bind their swords until they rusted. That was normal. But it was the line about the Empress's replacement being determined by divine signal that caused him to pause.

They didn't actually announce at the start of the court how the succession crisis was going to be resolved. Were they waiting for Lady Sun to pop into court? Were the clan champions going to form their own council like the Phoenix did? As it was, the imperial bureacracy was moving forward on its own as if it wasn't missing it's head, but how long could that last?

Troubled by these thoughts, he sought to end the conversation with the Boar before he referred to him as Heir-sama.

He bowed.

"My thanks for your words, today, Heichi-sama. It was truly a..." he paused with another glance at the argument. "....day...I will surely remember. If anything needs further clarification, I will be sure to let you know."

"Kamispeed, Soshi-san," Heichi Batsuda replied in farewell.

But he was already angling to get a better look at something over in the Imperial section. Then he sighed, shook his head, and took his leave.
