The Forecourt is an open-air courtyard (actually tucked behind the actual court chamber and accessible from the Banqueting halls and the Imperial Apartments--"Aftcourt" just didn't sound appealing...I mean auspicious) designed with a small stage and seating for theatrical performances. Theater isn't a super popular artform among the Ikoma, so there are no official plays scheduled this winter, but one could imagine a world where Lord Ikoma or the Imperials could be persuaded to host a show.

Also available, and more commonly used, are a small army of easels, tables, and cubes that can be set up around the grounds to display art. The fact that the forecourt is awash in pleasant greenery and has a koi pond means that it technically qualifies as a garden, and we all know what young people get up to in those. Quiet walks, whispered conversations, angry confrontations, the Forecourt has hosted them all.

If you wish to reserve the Forecourt, you may do so for one hour at a time. Any of the hours from MA-LE each day are available, save when the Forecourt has already been reserved. Normally, reservations would be made with Lord Ikoma's seneschal, but of course the Imperial Families have inserted themselves into this procedure, so you will need to file your requests with the Senior Under-Vice-Minister of Public Entertainments and Delights (request in your pf, we'll note reservations as they are made).
