"Okay...well, I'm sure that's great for the Ishimoto. But we just killed some ronin, some of whom might be ex-Lion. Of course they're dishonorable. But now you're bringing my vassal into it and calling her dishonorable. Are you trying to pick a fight? Is that what is going on?"

Looking to the severed head, she added "where do you know them from?"

[Tatsuya]

There was a small nod.

[Ryunosuke]

"It was the riverboat 10 years ago." Ryunosuke is staring at the head from a respectable difference. He does not blink. "Nobu. He had mochi. But just this one, not the others. I do not know them."

[Yasuki Ryoichi]

"Hired ronin, then?" Ryoichi said, nodding with understanding. "I'm sure the Magistrates will be interested to find out who hired them. This kind of attack is completely intolerable."

[Kakita Hajime]

The passing of those few minutes after the end of the engagement brought a new figure into the scene. Without the Emerald Armor, Kakita Hajime appeared dressed in a simple set of hakama and a thrown-on robe. He was wearing his swords, and looked like he had arrived in some haste, but his expression was not haggard. Rather, he had a certain calmness about him that suggested that everything was going to be just fine.

He looked at the slaughter that had taken place, nodded once, and asked, "Anyone checked the walls, yet? Might be some horses on the other side. I'd like to see the saddlebags, if there are." He looked about again. "Let's see, delegates...Tatsuya and Ryunosuke...Lady Matsu in her element! As lovely as a painting! How fortunate to have a silver lining in the form of this vision of lordly might." His trademark smile begin to break open. "And Daidoji-san, so the magistrates are represented. But I am not seeing any guardsmen. I think those walls ought to be a priority, neh?"

And he began to walk towards them. "Care to accompany me, Daidoji-san? You can fill me in on the way."

[Akodo Kenji]

During this time Kenji had kept his blade levelled at the prisoner. He kept his focus there even as the Emerald Champion approached the scene.

[Yasuki Masaki]

Having gone inside and seeing Hoshiko tending to Tatsuya's Wounds, Masaki steps closer, her eyes first on him, then on the others.

"Is anyone else badly hurt?"

Then, seeing Kenji either his weapon pointed to one of the assailants. "If we need him in proper shape to talk, we could help with that as well..."

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

Jinkan cleaned his blade on a corpse's robes. He used a nearby twig to poke the body and waited for any twitches. Noticing none, he shrugged and went to go bow to the Emerald Magistrate. Appearances must be maintained after all.

He ignored his bleeding for a little bit.

[Kakita Hajime]

During this time Kenji had kept his blade levelled at the prisoner. He kept his focus there even as the Emerald Champion approached the scene.

"Oh, a prisoner?" Hajime's eyes flashed with surprise and delight. "Great work, Akodo-san, Hiruma-san! If Yasuki-san would be so kind as to stabilize him, we can get him conveyed to the holding cells in the Emerald Office, and I am sure Mirumoto-san, the Magistrate, will be eager to take your reports. Some testimony is always welcome."

"Indeed," he replied, winking over his shoulder as he moved on toward the walls. "Where is the stairway over here? Ah! Down there!" He began walking briskly along the wall toward the south.

[Yasuki Masaki]

Masaki bows deeply with a 'hai, Kakita-sama', and readily moves to stand besides the prisoner and touch a part of him that looks less plastered by blood. It isn't exactly easy to find one.

"Could you please keep him secure, Akodo-san? He shouldn't be fully in shape after this, but he may be able to stand up by himself, so it's good to be careful."

A quick prayer, and a sound similar to fish darting through water is heard while a blueish sheen travels through the man's body, leading some wounds to start closing.

When that is done, she turns to Kenji himself, as well as Jinkan and the others.

"Whose wounds need tending as well, minasan?"

[Akodo Kenji]

Kenji bowed without taking his eyes off the prisoner. "Thank you Kakita-sama. Without Hiruma-sama's timely intervention this one would have escaped."

He flicked the blood from his blade as the healing power restored some mobility to the would-be assassin. The Yasuki's question caused him to pause a moment. Kenji realised he was covered in blood. There was a moment of mental stocktaking.

"Ah, it seems I was not injured Yasuki-san. This is not my blood."

[Hiruma Daichi]

Daichi dipped his head in thanks at the compliment before stepping back to let Masaki get to work. "I'll get something to bind him." he offered with a bow to those around him before trotting off to look for that. He'd decided to leave his rope at home instead of taking it to court and was cursing himself for that.

He'd look around though trying to find something that would serve that purpose.

There are cords around some of the shrines for hanging Ofuda, but you could also probably put something less-blasphemous together from their shed.

[Hiruma Daichi]

The shed would certainly work best. No reason to do something blasphemous, and while it might take a bt longer Daichi would return with the roped to bind the man a few minutes later.

"Anyone have a good hand at knots?" He asked as he looked between Kenji and Masaki.

[Akodo Kenji]

Kenji shook his head slightly. "Alas, not my area of expertise." Was that a pun? If so the young Lion's face betrayed no hint of amusement, although it might just have been hidden beneath all the blood.

[Yasuki Masaki]

"Neither is it mine, sadly, Hiruma-sama. We might be able to do a proper job with some joiny effort, maybe..."

She regretted not having the chance to work - or play - more often in her family's riverboats then, but such is life.
