It is fairly irrelevant. The NPCs are listed in the event for you to choose from, or in the delegations thread in the almanac. Pick the one of your choice.

Re: the sumai tournament, is there a specific time you want rolls to be finished? And if not at present, could one maybe be set just for clarity?

Will we have time to RP watching the actual competition?

The thought of writing 6 sumai fights is not sparking much joy in either me or Fukurokujin at the moment, so we called Marie Kondo and she said it was okay not to. We will post what happens (in what I think is a flavorful but not overly detailed way) in the Event thread here in OOC chat on the morning of dayflip (probs. starting around 8). People may react as they choose.

Well, would make some sense with Masaki's BG and all, so I'm going with Doji Minehime as the patron I guess!

Speaking of which, I'd like to ask for a few NPC scenes on D12 as well if possible!

Would Gusai Rioshida be available D12 LM, before court?

Doji Minehime herself I was hoping to meet *after* court if possible, which would probably mean D12 MA, although later is possible.

And Seppun Sadako... any time in the evening, or early night, if possible.

If one of those isn't possible, D13 is fine too - although for Rioshida, the clock is ticking for last deals :D

Thanks!

Go ahead and make the threads for Rioshida and Minehime.

"He would. He should like it to be known that several arrests have been made, with executions slated for tomorrow morning, when the cleansing of the temple can be completed and the Kaishakunin's sword can be properly blessed.
Heya, since this has come up in Court ... with the mention of a Kaishakunin, doesn't that mean that the condemned men are, in fact, slated to be executed by seppuku? Just checking since several people are arguing that seppuku would be more appropriate than execution.

And if this is the case, can we retcon-wand the whole thing?

Huh, yeah. I thought wording-wise execution and seppuku are rather different things. And the position mentioned, while historical, isn't an L5R term folks would be familiar with.

Yeah, I could be misinterpreting it also. It may be that Hajime meant to say "executioner's sword" and that would be the simplest retcon.

My understanding of kaishakunin comes from the Kazuo Koike manga Samurai Executioner. That guy's not usually facilitating seppuku. He's executing folks. Maybe Koike used the term more broadly than it ought to have been? Not sure. Anyway, that's how I intended it.
