[D12 EA Court] A Momentarily Lapse

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

Jinkan drew the Scorpion into less crowded part of the court to speak without being obviously overheard.

"First, I was wondering Bayushi-ue laughs like 'hehehehehe' or 'huhuhuhuhu'? I have a lot of money riding 'huhu'. Well, not really, but I would if anyone was willing to bet on it." Jinkan shrugged.

"Second, could you get me a meeting with your Champion this evening?"

Eiji considered the question with all the seriousness that any question was put to him in court.

"I cannot say that I have had the pleasure of hearing her laugh, Mirumoto-san. But were you actually making that bet, I do not favor your odds." he admitted.

The laugh that Eiji had in mind was less 'girlish schoolgirl' and more 'snapped psychopath', but huhuh seemed far too certain.

"Hmmm. A meeting this evening, Mirumoto-san? It's not, strictly speaking, an impossibility, but Lady Bayushi is quite busy with delegation business. I am happy to check if she can manage a meeting with you, though anything you can share as to the nature of your request would perhaps make it easier to see if she can meet with you on such short notice." he offered.

"Spooky business, mostly. Plus I like her eyes." Jinkan said with a shrug as he began imagining different kinds of laughter. She definitely seemed like a 'huhuhu' to him.

"I know a secret, and I am hoping to learn another one."

Eiji considered the request. Yuna had built up a relatively good stockpile of goodwill for the Dragon with Eiji, and though Jinkan's conversation at the play was...quirky, he was an atendee of the Imperial Winter Court in good standing. If someone requested an urgent meeting with the Scorpion clan champion on a secret matter it was far more likely that it was something of pressing import, rather than an incredibly ill-advised attempt to flirt.

Eiji nodded.

"Very well, Mirumoto-san. I will pass your request on with all due speed. I can inform you of her decision as soon as I know." he said.

[Mirumoto Jinkan]

"I await on pins and needles." Jinkan replied giving the Soshi a quick bow.

"Oh, do you know if she liked rats?"

[Soshi Eiji]

Eiji tilted his head at that question.

"Beyond the normal Scorpion tradition of viewing them as serevants of Daikoku? I really couldn't say, Mirumoto-san." he admitted.
