I found Jinkan an interesting character to work with. I do have to ask, though, if you were trying to get one of the NPCs to kill you.

5. Jinakn was plainly a difficult guy, often by design. Was that fun, challenging, or both?

1. Not really. His concept started out with disbeliever but that was scraped for unique connection to the spirit world. Otherwise everything came out as intended.

2. Killing the Empress derailed some thoughts I had been having. But I recovered when I remembered Bayushi Kaguya existed.

3. He tells the truth more than I anticipated. His honor score also should be in the 2-3 range. But his school starts at 4.5 which flavored some of my thoughts in the beginning. Plus the spirit of his dead mother is haunting him, and making him be more courteous than he might otherwise be. The biggest curveball is likely that he wouldn't disobey Togashi-ue. Even if he thought it was funny.

4. Yuna, probably. Eiji was nice too, definitely should have spent more time with him. Jinkan doesn't often think of the Crab clan in general so it might have been nice to speak to the Yasuki and Hiruma.

5. The most difficult and yet easiest part is that Jinkan is very carefully thought out in his actions. But entirely no thoughts in his actual thoughts. So you end up with someone who will construct a 12 step plan for stealing all the unbroken whole rice from Kaguya's plates, without ever asking why they are doing that in the first place.

Jinkan wouldn't have acquired the box. If there are secrets to the universe, he would rather they stayed secret.

Not going to happen. He was a one time deal. I will consider playing his sister maybe. I have some thoughts on she is Ishiken, and some disads. Otherwise will have to think.

To show the court that what they fear is in front of them, and that they cannot avoid it unless they change circumstances. Jinkan thinks reminding people of the cost of inaction will make them do something about it. Either they do something, or war is inevitable.

Jinkan had a lot of poetry about Bayushi-ue. He could have workshopped with Eiji, and continued assuring the Soshi the lines would go over well. Then ask Eiji to deliver it, and run away.

I think if you want to seriously run this experiment, you have to be up-front with the GMs that you're open to it that result. Otherwise the "I am a player character and someone's feelings may get hurt if I'm summarily executed" shield aura is visible to both other PCs and NPCs, and it inevitably lets PCs get away with a lot an NPC never could or should.

I think if you want to seriously run this experiment, you have to be up-front with the GMs that you're open to it that result. Otherwise the "I am a player character and someone's feelings may get hurt if I'm summarily executed" shield aura is visible to both other PCs and NPCs, and it inevitably lets PCs get away with a lot an NPC never could or should.

The experiment, such as it is, wasn't a serious exercise. I would in fact have been greatly annoyed if he was killed without warning, even if I was interested in pushing limits. I am only human after all.

The "Incorrigible" in your signature is pretty spot on, since Sayomi's brief observation of Jinkan can be summed up that way. Or, you know, "who is that batshit insane Dragon?!?".

Why on earth did he try to "court" Kaguya?
