"More than introductions, I wonder if you could share a little information. I need to cut a deal with the Scorpion and I'm walking in blind. Do you guys know what they're low on?"

[Yasuki Ryoichi]

"Well, don't spread it around too far, but I am reliably informed that they could use tea," Ryoichi allowed. "If you need some to help with your dealmaking, that might be something we could assist with, too."

"So it sounds like you could use military support, lower river tariffs, sake, and stone from us," the Yasuki summarized. "In return you've able to provide jade, iron, and a little copper and rice. What quantities were you thinking would be a fair exchange?"

[Heichi Batsuda]

He nods. "It works like this. I've got 10 Jade and I've got 5 Iron. If you want Copper, I can go to 3, but it comes out of Iron. Rice, I can go to 2. In exchange, I get the tariff reduction, I get the Hiruma, I get 5 Sake, I get 2 Stone."

[Yasuki Ryoichi]

"This sounds like a good arrangement to me," Ryoichi said, nodding. "It should help both of our clans out. With your permission, I will bring this to Lord Kaiu for approval. I think he will see the merit of this proposal."

[Heichi Batsuda]

Batsuda nodded firmly. "You've got it."
