At the conclusion of the mine disaster and the formalities of the daily court, it was likely that the participants of both would find themselves reconvening back to the keep. Even at the midway point, it already felt like a long day and all samurai required a good meal to continue with the rest of their day. Considering the ire of the Ikoma she might have incurred with her actions, it might have been awkward to return to the keep to have a casual meal. That said, it's not like she was going to be dining in a restaurant as an alternative.

Shiori was at a table by herself with her lunch arrangement, taking a few sips of her soup. All she was concerned was getting her daily sustenance at the moment and putting all controversy behind her, if possible.
