Scythes and Claws Brunch [D3 - LM Expecting]

[Yogo Kiuchi]

Kiuchi hoped he was somewhat presentable. He had to rush from trying to help with the angry kami. He awaited for the Mantis daimyo to arrive.

[Gusai Rioshida]

Rioshida strides into the room looking none the worse for wear. Spotting Kiuchi, he raises his hand in greeting. "Hello, Yogo-san! What've they got this morning?" He rolls over to the table and swings into the seat. "And what've you got for me and mine, hey?"

[Yogo Kiuchi]

Kiuchi got up and bowed to the Mantis daimyo and took his seat again after he seated. "I don't know, I guess I will be surprised as you." He then signals the servant he had waiting to go get their breakfast.

"Straight to business? I appreciate that." Kiuchi smiled under his mask. "I suspect what you would be most interested in is our lumber. We also have some gold that we may be able to part with. Some fine Scorpion weaponry. And... let's call it some very 'peculiar' goods."

[Gusai Rioshida]

Kiuchi got up and bowed to the Mantis daimyo and took his seat again after he seated. "I don't know, I guess I will be surprised as you." He then signals the servant he had waiting to go get their breakfast.

"Interesting! We would, indeed, be very interested in your Lumber. Gold we have aplenty, and weapons besides. But your trees, now. These we will take. 5 units worth. In return, we can give tea. We can give Paper. We can give the fruit of the mighty sea in the form of scaly fish! Or..." he looks both left and right "...perhaps other things. If we like you."

[Yogo Kiuchi]

Kiuchi considers. Those are certain things they need, but he would like to hear a bit more. Besides, it would be best to mention what else they need.

"Those are certainly interesting prospects. What about naval supplies? The river bandits have been particularly bad this year. And I'd be happy to learn more about these fish so magnificent that you call the fruit of the mighty sea."

Kiuchi casually glances as if he is looking for the servant, "I hope we can be friends. I have enjoyed your company. And nothing binds people more than marriage." And in a quieter voice, "We Scorpions are always interested in all options and can be great friends."

[Gusai Rioshida]

"We do have naval supplies. You folks looking to deal with some river pirates, eh? Well, we'll sell you what you need. I've got 5 units of those. 6 units of tuna and anchovies. Salty, delicious. Now, tell me about your weapons. I've got three marriage candidates. You lookin' for out or in?"

[Yogo Kiuchi]

"Our weapons are exquisite examples of Scorpion craftmanship. We have plenty for samurai and peasant ashigaru alike." Kiuchi will go into a brief run down with specifics his player does not know.

"As for marriage candidates, it can go either way. We have a wide variety of candidates from various statuses. And some among our delegation are also available as such, including myself. Though in some cases, a specific candidate may require being married in or out."

Kiuchi takes a brief second to remember the candidates and if he should leave one off. Ultimately, deciding not to as he would not want the Mantis to feel slighted. Though he hoped the man wasn't interested unless he himself was looking for a wife. "The Soshi daimyo's daughter is one of our marriage candidates. Though due to her status, I will need to check with the higher ups before I can negotiate her marriage. We also have Taisha, a well-liked magistrate, a woman from an influential family, and the sister of a hero." Kiuchi did leave one off because, he liked the Mantis.

"And of course, as I said, there are several members of the delegation who have presented themselves as marriage candidates. Though other than myself, I would need to discuss with them before I can promise them."

[Gusai Rioshida]

"Have you got a...Sugimura Haruko? I'm supposed to be looking out for a Sugimura Haruko for Gusai Yayoi, who's got some of my blood and is a decent courtier. It's some kind of...destined...whatever. Fuzzy on the details, now, but it sounds like they're supposed to get hitched. If not, uh, well...I've got Mori Mitsuko, who's a kobune captain what once talked the pants off a Mer...Emerald Magistrate; we're holding on to her with both hands. And then there's my nephew Gusai Shiro who knows his currency like the back of his hand."

"Oh yeah, you can throw in the weapons."

[Yogo Kiuchi]

"Unfortunately, we do not have a Sugimura Haruko. As for the others, I would suggest Bayushi Minoru be married to Mori Mitsuko. He is an Emerald Magistrate and is well-liked from my understanding. Or if you'd prefer to send your nephew to our Clan, we would welcome him among the Yogo. We are shugenja among our Clan, but we often serve as the merchants. Yogo Yoshie would be a fine a choice. Her brother is a hero, and she has sworn to achieve even greater heights. A man good with a good head on his soldiers may work out well with her."

[Gusai Rioshida]

"What the hell, we'll take the Magistrate."

"Alright, so where does that put us, all told?"

[Yogo Kiuchi]

"Well, I need make certain a few more things before I can propose an offer. Mainly, I need to know how much paper you have and how much weapons you are looking for."

[Gusai Rioshida]

"I have 2 units of Paper. I'm looking for 5 units of killimajigs." A beat. "That's weapons to land folk."

[Yogo Kiuchi]

"Well, unfortunately, we can't give quite that much weapons, but we can do 2 units of weapons and 5 units of lumber for 2 units of paper and 5 units of naval supplies. And to seal our friendship, Bayushi Minoru be married to Mori Mitsuko and join the Mantis Clan."
