A few questions on marriage contracts and related things:

1) In most cases and most gands marriages are expected to happen between people of equal or similar Status. How does Influence play into this here? If someone is low status but high Influence, would they be considered appropriate for marriage to someone of high status?
Would someone with high status but low influence be deemed appropriate for soneone with high status *and* influence?
Or is it a case of 'sum both', kind of?
Or do we just ignore Influence and just consider status?

2) If influence matters for marriages, I'm assuming its just personal influence, not house influence? Is that correct?

3) Since status matters quite a bit for marriage and we get a limited allotment of high-status peeps fit for marriage per clan, I'm assuming our cousins, siblings and others rolled with our house are all considered status 1 (as otherwise we could be giving ourselves an advantage) Is that correct?

I have not given this any thought, so my suggestion is that you just pay attention to status. Your siblings and so forth would be status 1. If you choose to value influence as well, that can be part of your considerations, but from a purely "the NPCs will come after me" way of thinking, we're not paying it any mind.

I appreciate the recommendation, but I think I need people who care about what happens on the floor to check the floor as a QoL thing for me and for Fukurokujin. Thank you.

Are the Clan services that help a specific player character (like making them a suit of armor, making them immune to Shadowlands taint, giving them 3 wishes, and so on) something that take effect during this game, or are they only awarded post-game?

As with many things, the answer depends.

Some items might well be able to take effect in the present game (e.g., prayer services, maybe some information services). Something like armor, less so (has to be fitted and adjusted, if not outright made, and the Lord Kaiu only has so many hours in his day, let alone access to a real forge; Kyuden Ikoma doesn't have his equipment, you know).
