"Mirumoto Jinkan, your pleasure." The Dragon replied brushing the Scorpion with his hairpin one more time before putting it away in his sleeve.

"I see you are having a good time in this new and exciting genre of noh. I wonder that it was allowed to be put on after the Empress...well. Perhaps everyone needs something to think about?"

"Mirumoto Jinkan, your pleasure." The Dragon replied brushing the Scorpion with his hairpin one more time before putting it away in his sleeve.

"I see you are having a good time in this new and exciting genre of noh. I wonder that it was allowed to be put on after the Empress...well. Perhaps everyone needs something to think about?"

Eiji titled his head, considering the link between the two.

"Though the passing of the Empress may have left many feeling like the world was ending, the world did not, in fact, end." he mused. "Just like the world did not end when her predecessor passed. The wind still blows, the mighty still gather and bicker in court, and the agreements that had been hammered out, whether for trade or for the production of talent, still stand."

He glanced at the stage as the demon made it's arrival and eventual defeat.

"So what do you think about it Mirumoto-san?"

The Mirumoto watched the play with one eye for a little bit. He wasn't that bothered by the amateurs, professionals were hard to come by in the far north.

"I think that we like fiction more than reality. It gives us something to aspire to at least." He grinned, an ugly thing on his face.

"I know I like the way I know this will end than the one I would have lived."

Eiji considered the Dragon's words, rather than his scar.

"To inspire. That is probably the ultimate goal of all storytelling, Mirumoto-san. Whether it's to do better, be better, or just as a bit of relief so you can soldier on, like a soldier chanting on a long and gruelling march, it's all to inspire. We are truly fortunate to have the time to enjoy these acts of inspiration in these turbulent times." he mused.

[Yasuki Ryoichi]

And then the star of the show truly wowed with his performance, and Sayomi fell silent. It was so touching. The ephemeral beauty of the performance moved her to shed a single tear behind her fan, which she quickly wiped away.

This was Noh. So touching, so emotional!

The Yasuki had been trying to keep casual conversational banter going, but turned to look at the Doji actor when Sayomi fell silent. Shinnosuke's performance was truly moving, and Ryoichi was struck speechless, unable to take his eyes off of the stage.

[Kitsu Sayomi]

The Yasuki had been trying to keep casual conversational banter going, but turned to look at the Doji actor when Sayomi fell silent. Shinnosuke's performance was truly moving, and Ryoichi was struck speechless, unable to take his eyes off of the stage.

"It's so beautiful, isn't it?" she asked in a quiet tone, her voice filled with awe of the talent on display. "That we can see such beauty when different clans have come together."

Ryoichi nodded slowly. "I've seen plays before, but ... nothing quite as powerful as that before," he said, sounding awed. "I think you're right about the different clans coming together to make something greater. We were stronger together on our trip to the city, too, eh?"

"I have always considered storytelling a way to enjoy the sound of your own voice." Jinkan replied with a tiny, less nasty smile.

"But that is disingenuous to the people who have worked to make us happy today, so I will correct myself to saying, I have almost always considered it such. Perhaps the inspiration today will be to learn something new and leave our old thoughts like old cloaks, to be put away as the season changes."

"But that is disingenuous to the people who have worked to make us happy today, so I will correct myself to saying, I have almost always considered it such. Were Eiji less honorable, that would have earned the the Dragon a sock in the nose. But he wasn't.

"Truly, Mirumoto-san, you have my deepest sympathies. I well know what it is like to have someone ruin an entire artform for you with their dogged insitence that they were amazing at it, without a care in the world for their audience."

"May all of your future encounters with storytellers be with ones who wish to inspire you, not impress you with their own sense of worth." he sincerely wished the Dragon.

"From your lips to the Fortune's ears. Perhaps Benten as this is about artwork." Jinkan said quietly. He would remain quiet for the rest of the play.
