So, my question-

Is Shigahime going to watch the duel?

(Because if not, I would like to bring some treaties to her in the EM timeslot)
Addendum: Is the duel open to people interested in witnessing this first hand?
Ryusei: She may well, although Cear is handling that NPC.
Eiji: Yes, though side-conversation is entirely inappropriate unless you make a discussion thread. Regarding which, the following:
Discussion threads surrounding the duel will follow the same rules as the Court discussion threads. Please note attendance but set up outside threads to confer. This is an exception to the usual one thread / location / time / character rule.

Shiba Higashime has no interest in the duel. She'd much rather be handling delegation business.

On pail of water, am I reading correctly that no harm is done if folks try and fail on step 1 (beyond cost of leaving court to help)?

i.e., feel free to try, post result either way, others can still succeed

In fetching the pall of water.

Are people able to roll more than once?

If so, can they only roll once per Step but are able to roll on multiple steps?

The second.
Once / step, but multiple steps.
Do try to allow others to go if you've already gone, though.

Thanks. I think Hikaru does not mind the Honor loss for taking part in a certain event

Ryusei needs to be in court because there might be relevant treaties for him to support :P

Especially since one of them is possibly with the Crane, who are gonna need all the help they can get with the Otomo Pain Train sitting at the station....

On the duel:

1) Are there medics there (or in the Lion house if not) that can patch up wounds or is it only if players are able to do this?
2) Maybe a bit cheeky but does facing the Dragon clan Champion in a duel over the Lion-Dragon situation count as "Facing a Superior Foe in the name of your family" as per the honour gain page?
3) Also maybe a bit cheeky, is there any glory for it?

A few questions in Court vs helping Tomaru

It's mentioned that those who are in court lose honour as per a minor breach of etiquette if they leave to help. So:

1) Am I right in understanding that never going to court and helping him instead doesn't incur an honour loss?

2) If going to court then leaving, does that mean you can both present something/act in court *and* participate in the event?

3) If the answer to the above is yes, is participation in the court limited in some way in that case? Either 'just the first few (or last) topics', or... something else?

Asking because if leaving also means you can't participate, I'm not sure I see why do it since it would essentially be the same as not going PLUS the honour loss. Although I guess it *is* a way to make a point of leaving XD

4) And speaking of that. Should we post us leaving court to help somewhere if we do that? The galleries maybe?

Thanks!

1) Correct.
2) Nope, you leave and are gone. It is a binary choice.
3) What you have observed in your comment is the purpose of that mechanic; it reflects the natural consequences of making a public political statement of this kind.
4) There is no should, here. If you wish to do that, you may.
